A jewel on the southern bluff
Easter Cottage is a lovely old local house on the island of Bequia, stylishly converted into two apartments by renowned local Architect Gabi Peters — who once described it as 'my jewel.'
Sitting on a bluff on the south side of the island, it is blessed with constant breeze from the tradewinds, looking out over the caldera and the neighboring uninhabited islands of Petit Nevis and Isle de Quatre. The view is ever changing as clouds and rain squalls move through.
Frigate birds sweep by at eye level. On a Sunday morning, hymns from the church next door float across the porch. The surf break at the bottom of the cliff can be peaceful or raucous depending on the Atlantic swell.
